P&C Automotive, a European group of companies, optimizes its production processes using the ATOS Triple Scan system and benefits from competitive advantages due to shortened development times.

Non contact and full field inspection of tools and sheet metals parts
P&C Automotive uses ATOS systems particularly for a non-contact and full-field inspection of tools and sheet metal parts. GOM’s measuring systems are used at all sites, both in tool and mold making as well as directly in the press shops. The group opted for GOM as a partner because the company is continuously improving its measuring systems. Furthermore, GOM provides fast and reliable technical support if necessary. P&C Automotive’s employees are trained by GOM in the newest technologies, and particularly when a new GOM software is available on the market. In addition, maintenance tasks are always processed in time.
When it comes to developing combustion engines, P&C Automotive attaches major importance to the wall thickness as it plays a critical role regarding the mechanical resistance of parts exposed to heat. The 3D measuring data serves for validating and improving the simulation software used. As a result, development processes are accelerated and improved, especially for products consisting of demanding materials and with a complex surface shape.
The common objective of the P&C Automotive Group is to identify optimized and innovative solutions. Customers of the P&C Automotive Group are, for example, Fiat, Maserati, Same Deutz-Fahr, Volkswagen, Riello, and Magneti Marelli.
